Hi, thank you so much for considering working with me! These terms are here to make sure both of us are on the same page and to keep the process smooth and enjoyable. Please read them carefully before booking a commission.
As the Artist, I reserve the right to decline any commission that I feel is outside my style, comfort zone, or values. This helps ensure I can give my best work to every project.

To get started, I’ll need some form of reference material. This can be: illustrations, photos, moodboards, Pinterest boards, or written document and descriptions. The more clear and focused, the better. Please note that things like mood boards or Pinterest collections are treated as inspiration only, not strict references, and I won’t reproduce them exactly.

â’ General Terms
â’ Personal Commissions
â’ Commercial Work
â’ Process
â’ Payment
â’ Cancellations & Rejection
â’ Other Terms
Every piece will include a small, subtle watermark/signature that should not be removed (unless discussed for commercial work).
I reserve the right to decline any project that I don’t feel comfortable with or that doesn’t fit my style.
Unless we both agree otherwise, all commissions are for PERSONAL USE only. Commercial licenses are available at any time if you’d like to use the artwork for publishing, promotion, or anything involving profit.
As the artist, I keep the rights to all my work. This means I may use the finished piece for my portfolio, website, or social media, unless we agree to keep it private.
Please remember to credit me (Mrsviloart / Victoria López) whenever you share or display the artwork.
Proofing: Client must review carefully; the Artist is not liable for errors after approval.
NO AI USE: Artwork is fully original and handmade. The Client may not use it in AI tools, training, or datasets. Violation ends the license immediately with no refund.
Personal use means you can share the artwork with friends and family, post it a few times on your social media, use it as an avatar or wallpaper, or even print it for yourself or display at home.
What you cannot do is use it to make money (e.g. merch, ads, publishing), remove my signature, or claim the artwork as your own.
Payment can be made 100% upfront, or split 50% upfront and 50% after approval of the finished piece. If needed, I’m happy to discuss flexible payment plans.
All payments are made via PayPal invoice in euros (€).
Once I start working, there are no refunds. If you cancel before I’ve started, I’ll refund you in full. If you cancel after the sketch is approved, there will be no refund.
You’ll receive the artwork as a high-resolution digital file in PNG, JPEG and PDF (no physical products).
You may not:
Profit from the artwork in any way.
Claim the artwork as your own.
Remove the Artist’s signature.
Alter the artwork without consent.
If you’d like to use the artwork professionally (e.g. in books, promotional material, merchandise, or any project where it generates profit), a commercial license is required.
The rights granted will be clearly outlined before starting. All rights not explicitly granted in the contract remain with me, the Artist.
Usage rights only begin once full payment is received. Additional uses not covered in the license can always be negotiated later for a fee.
Non-exclusive and promotional licenses allow me to reuse or resell the artwork if I choose. If you’d like an exclusive license, let me know and we can discuss terms.
Credit: Required whenever possible on digital media, and always on printed media.
You’ll receive the files in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format (source files are not included).
Once the license expires, the Client must stop distribution and remove remaining copies.
Updates will be sent at the end of every phase (e.g. sketch, colors, render). If needed, feel free to draw over any material I send during these check-ups to better illustrate your ideas.
Revisions:
1. Sketch phase: You’ll get either one (1) or several sketch options to choose from, and in this stage you have several revisions. However, if you’d like bigger changes after approving the sketch, or if the request is essentially a new idea, there may be an additional fee.
2. Flat colors phase: Once the sketch is approved, I’ll move to colors. You can request up to 5 small adjustments (like color tweaks or tiny details). Larger changes at this point may have a cost.
3. Final artwork: Only small polish adjustments are included (like fixing shading or highlights). Big reworks (e.g. changing a background or redesigning something) will be billed separately.
Any other changes might incurr in a fee. Once you’ve approved the final artwork, any further changes will count as a new commission, unless it’s to correct a mistake on my side.
Commissions can be paid either 100% upfront or split 50% upfront and 50% after the finished piece approval. We can also discuss other payment plans to better fit your needs.
Payment is done through a PayPal invoice, using euros (€) as the currency.
In the event that the commission is cancelled by you and I haven’t started drawing yet, you will get a full refund.
There will be no refund after the sketch is approved.
Late payments incur a 10% monthly fee. No final files are delivered until full payment is made.
Before Work Starts: If you cancel before I’ve begun, no payment is required and the project is simply closed.
During Sketch Phase: If you cancel after sketches have been delivered, you agree to pay 50% of the total project fee. This covers time and resources already invested. You will not have rights to use or keep the sketches, they remain the Artist’s property.
After Final Artwork Delivery: If you cancel once the finished illustration has been sent (whether you approve it or not), you agree to pay 100% of the fee. At this stage, the work is complete, and all rights remain with the Artist.
Rejection: If you reject the artwork (decide not to use it) within 7 days of receiving the final piece, it is treated the same as a cancellation. You must still pay according to the stage of completion (50% or 100%). You will have no rights to use the rejected artwork in any way.
Refunds: Once I have started work, refunds are not available. The only exception is if I personally cancel the project before delivering anything, in that case, you will be fully refunded.
Commercial License Adjustment: If the Client receives the final artwork but decides not to use it commercially, the commercial license fee may be reduced or removed. In this case, the Client pays only for the artwork under personal use terms, and all commercial rights remain with the Artist. If the full commercial fee was already paid, the difference may be credited toward future work, at the Artist’s discretion.
Please reply within 10 days to feedback or review requests. If I don’t hear back, the project may be paused, and a small reactivation fee (20% of the commission) might apply to resume it.
All personal and payment information stays confidential.
If your project is meant to be released on a specific date (like a book reveal), let me know. I won’t share the artwork publicly before that agreed date. If 12 months pass without your release and we don't have an aproximated agreed date, I might share it in my portfolio or on social media.
The artwork must not, under any circumstances, be used for AI training, machine learning, or generative tools. If it is, the license will be terminated immediately without refund.
Licensing is non-transferable. You may not sell, resell, or sublicense the artwork to third parties, any external usage rights remain exclusively with me.
I RETAIN THE COPYRIGHT, I don't do full copyright tranfers,as it is not possible in my country. However, the closest thing I offer is the Exclusive license, where I transfer most commercial rights.
By contacting me for work you are hereby agreeing to the terms expressed above.
